Hello,

I am new to the area (Tysons, Nothern VA) and looking for an affordable vet. I own two mutts; one of them has a re-occuring ear problem and allergy problems. We do visit the vet at least once a month.

Low price would be great but quality is important too.

Thank you for your advice,
Alona

They are few and far between but try a search for Valu-vet in your area. They are here in Florida.....they are very affordable and good.

While I'm not a vet, I can suggest that ear problems and yeast infections might go back to what you're feeding your dogs.

For a quick home remedy, try this. 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with 1/2 cup of DISTILLED water. put an eye dropper full into each ear twice a day. Massage the solution around and let the dog shake the excess out. Do this for a few days.
Check the food you feed. If it has corn, wheat or soy in it, change the food. All those can cause yeast infections.
I have 1 Lab that had swampy ears, I changed food and used the solution on her. Took care of the problem.
Also go to Barnes & Noble and get this book. "The Nature of Animal Healing" by Martin Goldstein, DVM. It covers holistic/natural remedies.
