Well your deer headed chi does not conform to AKC breed physical standards. She'd never win any ribbons at an AKC vetted dog show, and an AKC breeder would never breed her.
I wouldn't say the dog was necessarily poorly bred. Even a good bloodline can throw puppies that don't conform to breed standards. It's just the chance that you take. Selecting the best parents with good bloodlines helps, but we're dealing with genetics here.
My parents used to breed AKC bulldogs. One of their litters had a puppy that was all black and white, which is a very disfavored color combination for bulldogs. The puppy was sold as pet quality, and my parents made the buyers sign a contract agreeing not to breed her.
I assure you that your chi isn't offended by the term. lol. And you shouldn't be either. Just love her as a great pet, but don't breed her.
I do love her but it would have been my choice to breed her. I just had her spayed however.

thank you . Point I was trying to make.
My intention was and never would have been to show or have a dog for show.
My intention is and always has been to provide a loving home to a dog regardless of it's genes, papers, pedigree or not-standards be damned.
Not deerheads, but just wanted to show off my two little cuties, Chloe & Sophie. Having always been a big dog owner, I am totally in love w/ these sweethearts. Their tails never stop wagging.

Oh My! Don't you want to just cuddle them all day long! What little charmers they are. Thanks for posting the pic!
No they are NOT Pure Breds, but who cares. Mia is looking more mixed with MinPin-so we call her our "ChiPin" But then she howls, its strange, but who cares she is the most adorable little bitty dog I've ever had.
What I did with my picture, is cut and paste. Here is new pic of Mia
