Update: I met the cutest little Beagle, Marley, on Saturday at an adoption fair at Petsmart. He was 2 years old and only slightly bigger than Beesley. I didn't have Beesley with me to meet him, but I may just go the Beagle route. This one felt right!

Ummm, I'd go get him now. Well, I'd go introduce him to Beesley now. Yeah, I would.
Just make sure that a beagle is right for you. Read the following from the Beagles of Arizona website you posted:

In our experiences, people either love Beagles or hate them. You have to understand their distinct characteristics and accept them... not try to change them. Anyone who gets a Beagle expecting to be able to train it not to wander away from an unfenced yard or not to follow its nose is going to be very disappointed and frustrated. And chances are, that Beagle will be looking for another home within 6 months.
If you can live with the points listed above, you have a house with a fenced yard and lots of love and time to dedicate to a dog, then a Beagle can be the perfect family member for you.

I just had my 5 year anniversary at my job, in which I was supposed to receive a nice little bonus...but I have yet to see it. Maybe I'll get surprised soon That's my Marley money!
what a handsome little beagle boy..... i have always had such a soft spot for their little faces...... here's hoping that he and beesley hit it off.......
speaking of beagles..... neighbors 2 houses to the west of me have one.... little guy got out of his house somehow friday evening..... i found him nosing around the fence to my back yard and brought him in because i know how those little guys can just keep going and going and going, following their noses.... put a note on the neighbor's door that i had him, but they didn't get home until long after i went to bed, so he wound up spending the night with me......
started off on the sofa in the family room, but wound up on the bed with bailey and dave and me...... such a sweet little fella.... only time he fussed was when he got annoyed with dave's exuberance and when i tried closing him up in the front bedroom (with his own bed) so dave would leave him alone..... he wasn't gonna stand for that AT ALL...... he hopped right up with us and curled himself up behind my knees..... wisely keeping ME between him and bailey and dave......

Fingers crossed for you kiddo that it all works out!
