i have worked with many grad students at a very high ranking university. majority of international grad students want to gain a PHD in a STEM field. majority of americans want to gain a PHD in something like comparative lit, history, etc. guess who will likely be financially successful 10 years from now?
You have provided absolutely no data, not even an article to back up this statement which you wrote as though it's an established fact.
Amazing.
Perhaps you have confused City-Data with some type of scientific journal? The OP is simply stating their opinion, which is based on their personal experiences. How would you cite such information?

Nobody, cause we will all be bankrupted in 10 years!!!

What is amazing is that this has been in the news for several years now and they are driving up our prices while we can kiss our culture good-bye. Non-white hiring and college admission practises also hurt the American students and workers.
Yes, I'm a foreigner in (what I think) is a fairly cool city and with a decent six-figure income. (No one would mistake my car for a luxury one, though.) Movable, marketable skills help. Having the resources to manage the project it is to move between continents constitutes a bit of a filter. It's fairly rare to meet a down-and-out expat.
So what? Has nothing do to with the OP's post. Political outreach is fine, priority lines are not.
OP said there was a "priority line" at the DMV for illegals. I have seen no such thing.
.
The poster who said there are "priority lines" at the DMV is incorrect.
But you're not right either. There is a problem with people who are CA residents or moved to CA and need to renew/change their license not being able to get appts in a timely manner, being told either online or by calling the next available appt. is 3 months out.
There is a lot of frustration over this. A lack of planning when this was implemented has caused a backlog.
And you have to be kidding about the car insurance comment. You honestly think an illegal who gets a CA license is going to run out and get car insurance? LOL.
They will continue to drive uninsured as long as they can get away with it. They have already been doing it for years.
There has been NOTHING addressed about them must having insurance in order to get a DL.
