I like Grigg's on 7009 Montana Ave. to me it is an insider tip, it's hard to find in the back even though you'll see the sign pretty clear on Montana. First time we got there, we entered everything else there but the restaurant *lol* Grigg's salsa is homemade and delicious just like everything else there ....

At one time Avilas's was a decent Mexican restaurant. Over the years the service got as lousy as the cold food they served. The east side location closed due to mismanagement in controling the problems. Old customers just quit going there.

And I like the Mexican food restaurants in El Paso, and for me, it's a different experience than the rest of Texas (not that the rest of Texas was bad, mind you). What is your favorite El Paso Mexican restaurant? What do you like when you go there?

Let's find out from you guys right now. I'll tell you my favorites in a while, but let's hear from you first. Let 'er rip!

I don't think anyone can beat the food or prices at Gil's Mexican restaurant. They were located in Dieter Plaza for years. George Dieter Vista Del Sol. They recently move to Sol Kleinfeld and Montwood. Food is great as usual.

I've only been to the Carlos & Mickey in the airport and love their flautas. Is it the same food as at Magruder St - which is always too busy when I've tried.

You know, Ive never understood why people in El Paso go out for Mexican food. I'm sure they know at least one person who can cook something better than these places. I know if I go knock on a random house I can get a good taco plate any day of the week. To me there was no food better than what my grandma used to make at home. Good times...
