My hasband and I will be moving to Ft. Bliss this summer. He will be starting the Sergeant Majors Academy in August 2013.

I do not know if we will be able to get on post housing at this point. If we do I would like to know what school my son will be attending. He will be starting the 6th grade at that point. 6th grade is a tough year already and my son has a high functioning form of autism and has ADHD. He is in special education but only for an hour each day. Other than that he is in a regular classroom.

I would love some info on the school he would attend if we lived on post and some schools that would be good if we end up off post.

Thank you so much!
Marcie

Marcie, I'll try to post some links for you later but using the search feature in the top horizontal tool bar will bring up tons of info for you. Even a google search about Ft. Bliss, it's housing and schools will bring up lots of the info you're looking for.

I myself don't know the high schools near the base but people I work with are doing everything to get their kids into Chapin, even putting their current home up for sale so they can relocate so their kids will go there. I would imagine if Chapin is good, then the middle schools that feed into it would also be.

Bassett for the on-post housing, Canyon Hills for the off-post housing.

The east side of the main post and Biggs are zoned to Ross Middle and Austin High.
