Seriously, do you think there was someone behind this debacle besides Greene?

Al Rawl (D) had no chance of beating DeMint at this point in time. I had never even heard of Rawl, never saw a TV commercial, ad or sign. So I cannot see why in the world someone in the Republican party (to which the media and others are trying to blame) would risk a felony to put Greene on the ticket, when Rawl was such a minor threat from the begininng.

There's something mighty strange about all this. We've seen freaks and crooks get elected before from both parties and maybe this guy slipped through the cracks. But he was such a goof that I can't see him getting nominated or elected higher than congressman in a district that didn't have much on the ball.
Did they have any polling on this guy? If not I'd suspect ballot fraud( funny that usually the democrats cheat to get their candidate to win, not have the other party plant somebody so they can't win) You'd have to be an idiot to vote for him, in a primary or otherwise.

I don't think he is a plant, but I wouldn't be surprised. The GOP did this back in the 90's with a Congressional race. A GOP operative who was an aid to the GOP's LT. Gov candidate paid a black fisherman to go on the Congressional ballot for the Democrats, in hopes that having an opposing Congressional candidate that was black would boost white (i.e Republican) turnout in that district and boost the Lt Gov results as well.
