No, you have to chose one or the other, you are not allowed to vote in both. Seeing how critical the GOP governor's primary was I doubt any significant number of Republicans voted in the Democratic primary to elect Greene.

Instead, it seems that Greene was first on the ballot, and his opponent did not run much of a campaign either (thought it was easy win). As a result, voters apparently did not recognize either name and instead voted alphabetically. Or at least, that is the excuse offered by the state Democratic party.

However, either way you look at it the point is moot, because nobody will be able to beat DeMint come November.

I guess Alvin had better start campaigning.

Out of state Unions could hand Alvin 10 million dollars of their member's dues. Union members don't care how the bosses flush their hard earned money down the toilet.

I find the Democrats questioning this younger black man's defeat of an old white guy in their primary, highly racist. Are they saying the black winner doesn't deserve the win or that the people who voted for him are stupid? Because that's what it sounds like to me. Even the Democrat Party Chairwoman reasons that the voters probably picked him because he was first alphabetically on the ballot. Why don't you just call those voters "morons" instead of beating around the bush? Would it reveal that your party really is racist?

Alvin Greene UPSET: Mystery Man Stuns In South Carolina Senate Primary

Why don't they dig themselves in deeper and go ask some voters why they voted for the man?

It's too bad for liberals that Alvin isn't a Nevada resident because he'd have a better chance of winning in November than Harry Reid.

so let me understand this. Democrats questioning the nomination of this Black candidate is racists, but questioning and stating how and why Obama won against a old white guy is NOT?

Saying that whites voted for Obama is because of black guilt is one of the many excuses that are floating out there, as if Whites can't vote for a black man. Claiming that Blacks voted for Obama because he's black is another one.

You can't have it both ways.

Not to mention one of the main ones questioning Greene's candidacy is the most prominent black politician in the state.

Watching the Democratic establishment acting like hypocrites is shameful. This leaves a very bad impression in they public's eye.

The People of South Carolina have spoken. They have elected their Democratic candidate. Alvin won this primary.

Liberals around the nation should be rallying to support their fellow southeastern party members.
Liberals should be supporting Alvin in his desire to take his constituent's concerns to Washington.
Alvin is going to need millions of dollars for campaign ads. It's time for the left wing groups to start shelling out their cash.

If the progressives don't support Alvin, the Public will want to know why. Think, Think, Think.

Careful Now............

It's worse than "smarmy" though but we are talking about the Jim Crow south

Why dont you just keep fantasizing and have him run on the same ticket for President in 2012 with Sarah Palin?

Which do you think, of the two, would be more qualified? Palin has the edge in experience as a half term Governor.
