B) SC conservatives voting for the worst democratic candidate in the democratic primaries
C) Minimal effort by Greene's opponent, who was a white attorney from John's Island, who graduated from the most expensive private school in South Carolina. Not exactly an ideal candidate in the eyes of rural black South Carolinians, who form the base of the SC Democratic party.
Agree with A & C, but don't forget there was a heavily contested republican primary for Governor, I think the conservatives voted there.
But as for how he would have voted on TARP, or the Troubled Asset Relief Program, Greene was undecided. "TARP? What's that?" he asked.

"I think there should be one Korea under a democracy, done peacefully," he said.
"It would be good for the economy of the nation and South Carolina and our allies," he said.
When asked what he thought of the latest events surrounding Iran and the United Nations, Greene seemed to stumble.
"I think how we're going about, what we're doing is OK, I think ... Look, I have someone beeping on the other line, I have to move on ... I'm exhausted," he said.
This is truly hilarious and I hope he fights to the end. He is innocent until proven guilty. He is probably not the only one to squeak by/sneak in.
I will just sit back and relax to see how this plays out. GO ALVIN GREENE too funny
"South Carolina Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Fowler speculated that Greene won because his name appeared first on the ballot, and voters unfamiliar with both candidates chose alphabetically."
Update: Via the AP, Greene is facing a felony charge for allegedly showing obscene photos to a University of South Carolina student. The mother of Greene's accuser has launched a crusade against him, vowing to become the candidate's "worst nightmare."
Update: Greene was also kicked out of the Army and the Air Force.

Well whoever gave him that $10K has to be either the smartest person or the most gullible. I'm leaning more towards smart, because they had to have known what they were doing and what this guy was about.
This sits right next to Missouri electing a dead man!
