Well, I guess being a mayor of a town with 5000 population, 6 months as an appointee on a state board before resigning, and 9 months of being a Governor before resigning does count, but not all that much.

Palin would have been formidable if she had actually known anything. When given a script to repeat, she was the best actor we have had in quite a while to run for office. And who knows? If she had stayed on script instead of getting all mavericky and roguey, maybe McCain wouldn't have gotten whomped so badly.

Conservatives were glad he didn't run. Maybe he should run on his rape bill.
