If he would have come out ahead of the story (he had 10 days notice before Politico published it) with his wife by his side and said he'd had an "honest and unfortunate misunderstanding" with a few women at work years before, but that he'd been happily married for 40+ years yadda yadda, it would have been a big blow up for a day, and then it would have gone away. The reason it's been all over the news for nearly a week is because he started out denying it, then he kept changing the story, and then other people familiar with the situation started chiming in because of the inconsistencies.
So is the scandal that he found another woman attractive while married?
Or is it just that he found another woman attractive?

I'd give it about 5.3 seconds after that that she starts anonymously probing for a tell-all with awards going to the highest bidder.
Why can't Herman Cain keep his story straight about his history of sexual harassment? He's gone from denying knowing anything about it to remember exact details about the encounters, to now he's just saying it's all made up. He's gone from blaming liberals and the media, to Perry, and to Romney for the story getting leaked to the press. This whole turn of events highlights how Cain can't be trusted.
