Actually yes. That's happened quite a few times.

And polls don't tell you who to vote for but the articles by the same organizations putting out the polls do tell you who you can or cannot vote for by telling you that Ron Paul is unelectable. They've also gone as far as to call Iowa voters inconsequential and that the caucuses there won't matter if RP wins. It's the same thing and it's pretty stupid!

They are also constantly changing every couple of days based on whatever the fickle republican potential voter had for breakfast, how cold it is outside during the voting time, and who is running the most advertisements on tv/radio during that week.

Furthermore, the only polls being posted in any of the mainstream media are one's showing that Romney or Gingrich is most certainly going to win the primary and that you can't vote for Ron Paul because he is unelectable. If people honestly believe that they are either stupid or not capable of doing any independent research.

Lastly, whoever wins Iowa will most likely have a HUGE impact on New Hampshire and every state that happens after that. So it's even more inconsequential to be focused on the third, fourth, or fifth states down the line when we don't even know who will win the first. Add to that fact that this specific poll is over two weeks old and you may as well be trying to guess random people's favorite colors in a grocery store.

This poll is a colossal, complete, and utter waste of time for everyone involved.

Most of what you said is inaccurate at best. There are plenty of polls showing Ron Paul leading and media attention has been paid to them. Paul supporters post them on here quite frequently and they are discussed by the media on tv when they occur. He hasn't led in for long and only in Iowa. I guess we need an all day long media frenzy because he topped a poll or two for a few days! lol.

Most primaires are not open, which means Democrats and Indendents will not be allowed to vote in them. Also, not all states allow you to register the day of the election as a Republican. That needs to be looked at in every state imo.

Also, whoever wins Iowa MIGHT have some impact on the following primaries...it might not. There are a lot of factors there. Huckabee won it very unexpectedly in 2008 and did basically nothing thereafter. He did play as a foil for John McCain and helped him secure some of the other significant primaries.

This poll might be two weeks old, but it is the most recent for FLA and one that shows some significant change. If you think it's stupid, don't look at it...it's pretty simple.

It always amazes me that when a poll says something favorable for one's candidate...it's vitally important and when it shows something not so favorable...it doesn't matter, they are stupid, or have little to do with anything...lol. It's amusing to me!

I didn't look at it but thanks for telling me that I don't have to if I don't want to. Sometimes I have to be reminded to put socks on in the morning too. Good thing most news agencies are reporting who I should vote for because I don't believe I'm capable of figuring that out either.

I don't actually tout any polls as they're a waste of time. You can find a poll that illustrates anything you want to push. You showcasing this particular poll shows you want Romney to win and not RP. You like it because it supports your views.

I don't get why you think that's amusing but my opinion can't be right or wrong. I find polls to be a stupid waste of time but most especially ones that are two weeks old during what can best be described as a republican primary circus.

Surprise, that is sort of what I do...lol. Point is you thinking they are stupid does not invalidate them as one way of measuring how well a candidate is doing. Do I rely on them totally, of course not. They have their bias and are very fluid. However, they can be a baseline and indicate a trend.

Surprise, I don't heavily monitor this board or what you like to do. And actually my opinion of the polls being stupid does validate or invalidate them for me. Does it work for others? Of course not but that won't prevent me from calling the poll what it is, a useless waste of time that likely won't matter a hill of beans by voting time in Florida.

Seems about right, Paul must be slipping, you'd expect 10% or more as the national poll show.

Hard to say actually. So much time has passed since the last respectable poll happened in Florida. Ron Paul might be doing very, very well. Who knows?

I think demographics plays a big roll here. Florida is one of those states a lot of people move to when they retire. They are in the top 5 for highest average age according to this: Moderator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed
From what I've seen, older people tend to be the quickest to dismiss Ron Paul. Despite Paul being an old guy, his message resonates best with the younger generation. I suppose that makes sense since the younger generation of voters grew up knowing that they'd been completely screwed over by the generations that came before them. Debt, Social Security, hyper-inflation, etc. Now that new generation is starting to graduate from college and they can't find jobs. The message while growing up was that a college degree would guarantee them wealth and prosperity.

The older generations don't have nearly as much reason to feel screwed over and pissed off right now. Status quo is just fine with them. Big change is more likely to be very bad for them than good. Since the older generation dominates the Florida electorate, it's not surprising that Paul isn't doing well there.

And ultimately, not every state likes the same candidates. No surprise there.

Florida should be an easy state for any one of the republicans to win...

all the candidate will need to do is spend a few million on commercials claiming that "I will increase social security checks by 5% each month, until we get inflation under control and a sound economy again" and lastly "I will support bans on texting nationwide while driving!!!"

The old HORRIFIC florida drivers love that.. they ignore their own terrible driving while criticizing people who can talk and drive just fine at the same time. They worked hard to earn a retirement in Florida, by playing the system, and building the system of Welfare to all Americans. They want their money and only care about their freedom to their money and F anyone else! Especially that "entitled younger generation" they say!

So why don't Paul, Bachmann, and Perry cheat on their spouses and then propose to put that Piece on the Side Scumbuucket in as First Lady (or First Gentleman) of the United States....

The Repugs would then be drooling adoring supporters and they, too, could get 26%
