My gosh, just listen to his cheer leaders gnash their teeth and admit there was nothing new in this speech, just a rehash of his tired old rhetoric, his failed policies and his continuous blame game of everything and everybody but the guy in the mirror.
Despite the hype, the speech was mainly a rehash of themes and ideas from the president’s recent stump speeches and his remarks were widely panned as overly long by the political press corps.
Between the pre-speech hype from the campaign, the lack of new material and the overall length of the speech reporters were clearly dissatisfied with end result. Read on for a sampling of Tweets from the political press slamming the president’s speech.
I'm thinking so many people have really stopped listening to his re-run speeches...and of course, he is so tone deaf with the realities on the ground.
He's begging for dems to control House and Senate so he can get things done and break the stalemate......except...he had that the first two years and look what they did.
But a panel of liberal commentators on MSNBC reacting to the speech unanimously felt the President had wasted the opportunity to truly make an impact on the race.
Alter said he thought the speech was “way too long” and Obama had “lost the audience by the end.”
Daily Beast columnist and economist Zachary Karabell agreed with Alter, saying that the President opened the speech well, but quickly lost the plot.

Correction, Obama had seven months before Ted Kennedy died and he lost his filibuster proof Senate. Result? Record GOP filibuster.
Oh bull, there were independents that went right along with everything the Democrats proposed. How do you think they got the porkulus, healthcare bill, stimulus, financial reform and other bills passed?

Yep, never let FACTS get in the way of your lies.
Kennedy was the 60th vote. The two independents were 59 and 58.

Oh yeah right? As if in almost 4 yrs past Obama HAS OR HAD a plan to fix it, Nope screwed it.
^^^ Wrong once again Republicans have shot down Obama's Job plan many times & shot down a lot of other things to. Experts are saying that is the jobs bill passed there would be 1 to 2.5 million more jobs so you can not blame Obama for his jobs bill not pass
