It's not Donald trump that is causing problems for the Republican Party - it is the willful past and present association by many Republicans with Donald Trump.
In 2010 and 2011 they cheered him on with he was baselessly insisting that President Obama was born in Kenya.
In 2011 they party's voters put him atop multiple polls as their preferred Presidential nominee for 2012.
In 2012 the face of the party, Mitt Romney, sought and received Trump's endorsement and appeared with him at a rally.
And even today, he's been pushed into the conversation not merely because he's running for President but because conservative poll respondents have pushed him into second place in numerous national and state pols.
The Republican Party is not a victim here - they're associated with Donald Trump because they've repeatedly embraced him. And now they're reaping what they've sown. That's on the GOP, not on the guy playing them for the useful idiots that they've been (and which many continue to be).
The Republican Party doesn't support him. Only a few people do. Mostly butt hurt people from southern states worshiping him as some kind of superhero because he's racist just like they are.
White supremists? Does one have to be a white supremist to object to illegal immigration? Typical race card pulling by the liberal left and ethnocentrics.

You are one of the most uncivil, hate-filled posters in this forum. Look in the mirror for racism. The fact that some GOPers don't support him is a good thing. It just proves they are panderers unlike Trump who was telling the truth instead. No one worships Trump and why mention the south? There are certainly enough Obama worshipers though and God only knows why.
Why does it matter that Jeb is married to a Mexican? His wife was never an illegal. That should have not been brought up AT ALL. Well it's Donald Trump what can we really expect?
A normal presidential candidate needs to attack Jeb based on his past decisions as a leader, no need to mention his wife is a Mexican, especially when she was never illegally here.
Did any other presidential candidate attack Obama and claimed that the color of his skin would impact his decisions and make him more biased? I don't think so.
Because in far too many cases Hispanics support illegal immigration from their ethnic group even when they are citizens of this country. Just read all the polls where Hispanics were asked about it and all the advocacy groups they have for illegal aliens, the marches, etc. Many of them are Hispanic citizens. It is a culture with a tribal mentality that trumps our immigration laws to put it bluntly. There was every reason to mention that Jeb's views were probably influenced by his Mexican wife. I've read up on his wife and it was quite possible that she was here illegally before she married Jeb but even if not as I said many if not most Hispanic citizens are demanding amnesty for their ethnic group here illegally.
Trump isn't one who should bring up wives.
Jeb met his wife when he was 17 and they have now been married for over 40 years.
Trump has been married 3 times and test drove the newer younger models before dumping the old.
His personal life has no bearing on his ability to lead this country. Can we say Bill Clinton?
