The fanboys make excuses.

Trump's next book will be entitled "The Art of Pandering (or how to run for GOP nominee and pretend you are a Christian Republican)".
Want to give an example of President Obama knowing the Bible...... Only a NON Christian or Lukewarm Christian would quote from Leviticus and Deuteronomy all the time. Most Christians I know, quote Mark, Matthew, John or Luke in times of need.

Trump could have said.......Matthew 22:37 or Luke 10:27

Even Matthew 25:21

He couldn't have said anything because he does not know. I'd venture to guess he doesn't know the difference between the old and new testament.

If the lemmings want to believe that the bible is his favorite book - so be it. They are only fooling themselves.

Personally, if you don't read the bible - just don't say you do. He's the great Trump. He can get away with it and they will still line up behind him.

I've read the bible many times in my 58 years and yet could not recite one passage. Just because the bible is one of my favorite books does not mean I can recite it. I try to live by the lessons it teaches which to me is much more honorable than being able to recite a passage verbatim.

Old or New Testament? I'll bet you can answer that one.

Really, I could care less. I just wish he wouldn't pretend that he's something he is not. That makes him just like every other politician that he despises.

Whether or not Trump reads the Bible, I think it's disgraceful for others to use quotes from it to serve an agenda or as a weapon against others. Obama has done this quite a bit, as well as the evangelical right.

"You know when I talk about the Bible it's very personal"

"There's no verse you that means a lot to you that you think about or cite?"

Trump: "The Bible means a lot to me but I don't want to get into specifics"

"Even to cite a verse you like?"

Trump: "No. I don't want to do that"

"Old Testament guy or New testament guy?"

Trump: "Probably equal"

So what. If the good Christians care so little about the direction their country is heading, then they can sit on their ass during election again. They refused to vote for Romney because he was not the right religion.
I can't name a bible verse but I believe in God. I don't sit and read John till I drool.
