You talk about disagreeing in a civil way right after saying you're going to end friendships over people voting for Trump. Do you have a list of acceptable candidates your friends are allowed to vote for? If so who is on it? Do your friends know who is on your list?
Fine, I'm no better. Now answer this question. Can it be refuted that the comment that I responded to indicated an inability to think rationally? Last time I checked, making fun of someone is not thinking rationally.
And furthermore, this is where I come from as far as friends and Trump are concerned. I'm looking out for me and my survival. I know that aside from my parents, no one else is going to look out for me the way that I will. Based on the things I am finding out, I won't vote for Trump. I don't have a reason to. I feel like anyone who might support Trump might implicitly agree with some of the things he has said and done.
In the 2012 Election, I stopped speaking to two people because of some racially motivated comments they posted about President Obama on facebook. I feel like anyone who thinks like that, I have to beware of such persons. One can call me paranoid, but what reason do I have to continue being friends with those persons, considering that they have posted some racially motivated things directed at Blacks?

Do you feel comfortable enough to have us all look through your posting history to see if you have said some racially motivated things about whites? I bet you have from time to time.

To the op.
This is YOUR statement: Trump "I have a great relationship with the blacks" I just wont rent to them.
Show me a link from a reliable source where Trump stated I just won't rent to them
You are out and out lying.
It is ok to not like someone, but making up vicious lies about them is unacceptable.
We all know what you are trying to do.
Trump Management and many of the rental property owners I've known (including my former boss) have the same tenant criteria. No non-whites, and no Section 8. They manage to get away with it. This isn't news. It's more common than you think.
Most property owners I've known are no Section 8. Not once have I ever heard of someone not renting to a nice black family.
However, not renting to Section 8 pretty much covers all unsavory renters, including white trash.
his New York real estate company was sued by the federal government for discriminating against potential black renters. After a lengthy legal battle, it ultimately agreed to wide-ranging steps to offer rentals to nonwhites.
The case alleged that the Trump Management Corporation had discriminated against blacks who wished to rent apartments in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island. The government charged the corporation with quoting different rental terms and conditions to blacks and whites and lying to blacks that apartments were not available, according to reports of the lawsuit.
Two years later, Trump Management settled the case, promising not to discriminate against blacks, Puerto Ricans and other minorities. As part of the agreement, Trump was required to send its list of vacancies in its 15,000 apartments to a civil-rights group, giving them first priority in providing applicants for certain apartments,
So aren't we all. Why is that an acceptable motivation for some but not for others? If one group's desire for survival is seen as an affront to another group you have to ask yourself who wants it that way, and why.
