Your comment is fair. But, I tried to google for it and they pull just "one liners" for Trump and I could not find the context where he said he didn't want a blackman counting his money. I want to know if he was talking about a specific person and in what context. If you can point me in that direction, I'd appreciate it. As I said, I did find the isolated "one liner" but it didn't make sense. He instead seems to prefer someone that is Jewish by the hat he spoke of in his preference. I would just like to see something other than the one liner.
I don't know if he was talking about a specific person but it does make me nervous. I certainly would no speak in categorical terms. In fact, I would never say anything like that at all. I was referring to the article from Huffington Post.

Well, making statements like that would lead me to no other conclusion than he has an axe to grind. His statements let me know I don't want someone like him in office. Anyone who will say stupid things might do stupid things. My current life is better now than it hs ever been. And what makes you think Trump cannot do worse? At the end of the day, I have me to look after. I have to ask: Who do I trust?

I would stick to the topic as this is about Trump. BTW there were other things I asked of you and I have not heard back.

I guess you and I grew up in "different" worlds. While I understand where you are coming from, I know that a lot of times in working situations like I was in or when I am talking with a friend or a close acquaintenance that happens to be black, you might have walked in and heard something that would have offended you because you heard "one liners".

I worked in a military dining facility, I was a white civlian female working with a black civilian female and 21 black male military cooks in an Army dining facility. The way we often talked, a "one liner" would have probably made you look like this But no one was offended.

Same for when I talk with my friend on the phone. We have been friends since 8th grade in 1967. What she says about white people and I say about black people would make you but it is in gest and no one is offended. We play the stereotypes out which only shows how ridiculous some of them are.

I had an friend on the Fort one time who said that he came to my neighborhood to eat at what for us was a nice family restaurant. He said "Boy, those people are really prejudice." and I said "How do you know that I'm not just like them?" He punched me in the arm, laughed and walked away.

Of course, you realize, that I have taken a lot of heat because I don't discriminate except against evil people of any color. You realize the names people like me get called.

So, that is why to me, a "one-liner" just doesn't cut it. I truly hope you reconsider ending friendships over how someone votes. To me, a closeted racist is the worst kind.

I just get the feeling that Trump is coming across in a way with this race thing that is not realistic for a business man like him.

I don't care what you asked. All I'm demonstrating is that opinions are just that and everyone has one. If it's ok to look out for just you then it's ok for everyone to do that but you seem to think people are racists or are using racist thoughts when they do this, that's all.

Unless landlord is renting out hovels about to fall apart, none with any sense will rent to Section 8 tenants because they will end up with property so damaged and full of trash & waste that it will end up costing them 1000s of dollars before it's all said and done. And section 8 tenants are so protected by laws, that it's close to impossible to evict them before lease is up.

Worse than bad disease that antibiotics won't cure. Then again this is what government social engineering achieves. Create a class of people where taxpayers are 100% responsible for them and you end up with a class of people that are 100% irresponsible. The results speak for themselves.

I don't blame Trump for not wanting to rent his nice places to them. Nobody with any sense in real estate wants to.

We grew up in different worlds. I'm 29 and my K-12 years went from 1991-2004. This is what I know. Why would someone make a racially insensitive remark other than to demean someone? I went to middle school and high school in the outskirts of metro Atlanta. I saw alot of racial tension living there. In particular, the Confederate flag was a subject of much debate.

I take alot of things seriously, and in seeing the old films of the Civil Rights era and seeing other things from those times, I tend to think in terms of "never again". One reason I didn't put up with anything in the workplace. I was taught as a kid to stand up for myself. Many times I haven't lived up to that and it has made me feel like nothing, like a punk. I learned that most people who might use "one liners" might do so out of anger and disrespect. That is what I grew up with.

You are mentioning that the worst kind of racial is a closet one. Also consider this. What makes an open racist any better? Both produce the same result.

The way Donald Trump is coming off, it doesn't seem realistic. However, he also admitted that "whines until he wins". Once I saw that, anything else could happen. It might not be realistic to come off that way, but the question is this. Why come off that way?

As for friendships, this is what I look at. It is not just simply the voting. It is about what mentality of the candidate. All of what I'm hearing of Trump, well, if this stuff really did happen, if he really does harbor some bigoted attitudes and really does feel "Black men shouldn't count his money" and if he really would discriminate, what is the point in voting for someone like that? I'm just speaking in terms of "if" this stuff about Trump really is true. If it is true, then I have something to worry about. Anyone who might conduct business that would could run the nation that way. This is why I have to consider who my friends are.

This is where I'm coming from. If a person votes for a candidate with bigoted views about Blacks, who has a record of discriminating against Blacks, then I have to wonder if said person might support that candidate's mentality. And then I wonder if said person is a friend or simply pretending.

I smell a historic landslide for Mr. Trump. He has a great relationship with blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, gays, Asians, Jews, whites, women or wherever, communists, Hare Krishna, the vertically challenged, Baby Boomers, mentally ill, Buddhists, socialists, pacifists, bald men, and young people.

It would be a landslide of Reaganistic proportions.

Of the ones in these groups who are in the Middle Class & citizens who will vote, you have hit the nail on the head. They won't be voting for the DNC.

First sensible thing I've seen you say on this forum.

(or course you make fallacious mistake of thinking that people are so shallow that if they are of a certain demographic, then they will automatically vote for X)
