One of the perks of leaving NYC was local characters like him were no longer in my local news. LOL

Then he got a TV show. Oy. At least the version of him on The Apprentice was the somewhat toned-down mass market version.

In my mind it's the same as if Morton Downey Jr popped up running for president and people actually took him seriously.
Or Ronald Reagan, they said the same thing about him.

That's the problem. Politicians strategize to win votes. They don't speak their minds because they are too afraid to lose a vote. Whole bunch of fake, fake, fake and more fake. They pander to their base and "point" their bent thumbs...

Trump hasn't been groomed by any party.

Quote:
He has actually accomplished quite a bit of his agenda, including into his second term when he should be approaching "lame duck" status with a Republican Congress...so opinions on policy aside, he has demonstrated himself to know a thing or two about getting things done.
What specific agenda was "his"? Hope and change? Didn't happen.

Quote:
He may well go down as one of the more consequential liberal presidents since JFK. And that didn't happen by saying "you all are idiots; everything I'm going to do will be GREAT." Which is about all Trump has said thus far. I would really like to hear from someone who is at least level-headed and rational if they're going to have their finger on the nuke button. But for Trump, that would be anathema to his whole brand.
Obama didn't have any type of special accomplishments to brag about pre-POTUS. How many community organizers are there? How many lawyers are there? How many state senators are there? He wasn't special and still isn't. The left made him special because he's half-black (and when one is half-black, only the black side counts) and it "was time" to prove a point.

Nuke button?

You're really stretching there.

And why be rude or crass at all? That's a character flaw in my opinion.
You should look up that particular family held private company and their lawsuits (against them).

Let me start you off:

Quote:
LeFrak sought to have the $4.8 million judgment tossed on appeal because lawyer Keith Biebelberg described him at the 2011 trial as a rich “blowhard.”

A three-judge appeals court panel ruled on Monday that the description was “fair” given the evidence.

A perfect description of the communist emperor that currently resides in the White House.

Reagan was considered a tabloid farce like Donald Trump? When was this? When he was the governor of California from 1967-1975?

He isn't.

He doesn't.

But Obama proved he did when he announced that the oceans stopped rising because he won the election.

A silly claim, that.

Obviously not true.

Again, not true.

Trump is a morally corrupt human being who will promote hate and conspiracy theories to get elected

First he claimed Obama was not born in the US and sent a team of investigators to Hawaii. These investigators apparently drowned because we never heard the results. They probably never existed and this was just another Trump lie. He knows how to pander to the bigots who think Obama is too dark to be a "real American"

Then he called most immigrants are a bunch of rapists and criminals. He wants to make "america great again" which many understand as "Make America WHITE" again. It's common to hear at Trumps rallies people screaming "white power" or telling reporters they would love if we start issuing permits to shoot illegals. Trump will probably love to implement that. His spawns are famous for traveling to Africa to shoot elephants and other wild animals.

Of course he gets support from the crazies who spend their days posting in Stormfront and the illegal immigration forum. These people still think Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya who wants to wipe out Christianity and the white race.

Reagan at least won the California gubnatorial race in 1966 to gain political executive experience. As we all know from The Apprentice, Trump has board room executive experience but it's not quite the same thing...

He ran for president 3 times. They said no actor who played opposite a chimpanzee could be president. He was a democrat until 1962. He won because people didn't want a democrat in office. It turned out pretty well.

He has experience with economics, and heading a company. We have a capitalist government, he should do well. We aren't socialist, no need for politicians. You can't mix the two and have success in both, as we've seen. Plenty of proof has shown us if we have capitalism as a base we need a businessman, not a father.

Yes, he was. They slammed him right and left for being an actor. He was also told he flip flopped.
