If what is being said is true what is the point in having an election ? It's not really an election under those circumstances. It really is a circus. Why would anyone object to entertainers ? Seems like we should have more of them and bring in some popular animal acts. There are some I haven't seen like the parrot who can fly through a burning tube and tell the same lies as a politician at the same time.

The smartest people in the country are not the ones who vote but the the ones who don't knowing it is a complete waste of time.

Hillary Clinton had about the same number of popular votes in 2008 as Obama
She won many big states primaries like California Texas New York Florida Ohio Pennsylvania New Jersey Massachusetts

Says everyone the first time they vote for a losing candidate. My awakening was in 1972, I truly thought McGovern had a fighting chance, LOL!

There are 716, it's a fixed number. CNN has determined that 388 of the 716 are committed to Clinton at this point, but that can change.

Proof that the average American has no say in the elections. Lobbyists, big multinationals, banks etc. are the ones who decide

I would venture that anyone who feels otherwise has their head buried in the sand at this point

Nice well thought out argument mom, sorry that you have given up fighting for anything though. That's how they win

Oh I've stayed active in the many decades since, putting in money and thousands of volunteer hours. Politics is my favorite sport! Full disclosure: both DH & I come from long lines of elected officials - all at the county and state levels, dating from 1837 right up to the present. We met and courted at political events and had to consult the primary calendar before setting our wedding date.
