I agree that there is at least a perception that misdeeds have occurred.

I specifically have called for Clinton to close the Clinton Foundation down completely or at a minimum cut all family ties.

Instead it is a matter of law.

Yes, the filing mistake cost him a whopping $2500.

If the IRS thought there was some sinister intent, or if this was at all serious, they would have given a much larger fine.

This was a simple filing mistake, nothing more.

I know Hillary is going down (literally) but making these unfounded claims isn't going to help her.

IIRC the IRS had yet to impose the fine. the foundation sent the money assuming that would be the amount of a fine.
