Maybe Melania and Michelle grew up in the same household ... ?

Hard to tell. I just feel sorry for her if she was used and embarrassed unknowingly.
No one made Melania tell Matt Lauer that she wrote her speech. She volunteered that.

I have been against Obama, the tidy five figure tax increase he's caused me every year, and his ridiculous ACA (which had some good parts but mostly is drek).

That being said, this speech was such a ridiculously obvious copy...I mean, it's purely indefensible.

And how stupid do you have to be to not realize you're going to get caught? You're either insanely dumb or are full of unmitigated gall.

Bravo! I have not been against Obama in general. Agree about the ACA, not a fan. That said, I cannot believe that Trump's campaign allowed Melania to deliver that speech. If it were up to Trump alone, unmitigated gall. Wouldn't surprise me one bit. But doesn't he have handlers to reign his insanity in?

I called it:

If you think the empty chair was a disaster at the last RNC

Default Woke up to hear Melania lifted her speech from Michelle O

I called it:

If you think the empty chair was a disaster at the last RNC

But then again, who couldn't predict this?

I knew sending Melania up to talk would be like sending Carrie Prejean.

Oh well.

It's a long thread. I confess I didn't read every post. But, just in case it wasn't posted already ...

Side-by-side of Melania Trump, Michelle Obama speeches - CNN Video

It is PAINFUL to watch. And it leads me to wonder just how dumb the Trumps really are.

If a Trump opponent did it, he'd definitely call them a cheater.

It was interesting to see Faux News gloss over the plagiarism this a.m. while sucking up to the Trumps.

Will Trump hang Melania out to dry ... I certainly will not be surprised, such is his pattern. Listening to Manafort now on CNN .... he is saying there was no plagiarism ... AKA, ignore it. Yep, she will be the scapegoat. WOW!
