It's too late for an apology. And it wouldn't be sincere. If he had any awareness he would have immediately recognized that he had crossed a line (again!) and apologized on the spot. But he no awareness, no grace, no kindness in his heart, no empathy, no compassion. He's a moron and a dangerous one at that!

Either you have an innate sense of decency or you don't. Kindness, consideration, empathy and compassion. Those aren't subjective things. He's an indecent man. He's vulgar. He's mean. He's vindictive. He's petty and spiteful and small minded and, while he's clever / cunning / manipulative, he's not very intelligent. If you like that man and find his behavior acceptable, then perhaps you need to do some self examination.

Again - you are arguing for YOUR idea of decency. It's like holding the door for someone behind you - some think common decency is holding it and some say it doesn't matter.

Your argument basically boils down to alligator tears while mumbling "he's a mean ol' meany". Your emotional pleas are entertaining though.

But the Khans were not telling the vet what to do - they (like many people) are telling Trump the decent thing to do is to give it back - and not stuff it in his pocket like old Kleenex.

And if a hero wants to give someone something, you don't butt your nose in and tell the recipient to give it back to the hero. Have some common decency and respect for American heros.

What the what?
No, i'm saying that trump is, by any objective measure, a very rude, vile, unkind, mean spirited person. At least that's what his words reveal. So either he means what he says and therefore is rude and mean and vile and insulting, etc., etc. or he's pretending to be that way for some incredibly bizarre reason.
