IF he stays quiet.
Do you think that's very likely?
I sure don't.
Ken
He did post Curiel, his numbers were back up before the convention.
He also did following the KKK comments/Riots at his rallies in March, by mid May he was level.
Everytime he does get close though, within a number of days (Curiel, Khans) he throws it away, almost as if he doesn't want to win and tries to get back to a 10 deficit deliberately. I don't believe in many conspiracies, but the idea he's trying to lose sometimes looks so obvious.

When he's ridin' high, he forgets all about circumspection.
I don't think he WANTS to lose. I think he just can't help throwing his weight around any time that he can, no matter how unwise it is.
That has been the narrative for a week. Two weeks ago he was leading and the only thing different was a comment. I'm willing to bet we'll see him leading again before it's over. Hillary is prone to "short circuiting".
He can't keep his mouth shut. I expect more of the same.
==> Clinton is now up 15 points <== {LINK INCLUDED}
Democrat Hillary Clinton is now up 15 points over embattled Republican nominee Donald Trump
Clinton made strong gains with two constituencies crucial to a Republican victory – whites and men
(when a race baiter like trump even loses the white vote...)
We already know this as this poll came out 2 days ago. Marist-McClatchy has a bit a house effect on Hillary (as noted by 538) so its likely to be an outlier.
She's definitely winning, more like 8 points though.
