This is a good point. I do agree that, at some level, gaining traction with latinos would require support for bigger government and amnesty. Heather MacDonald has research indicating that the latino vote is driven primarily for support of big government more than open borders.

Worse they are mobilizing and realizing just how American politics work, that is the power of a vote.

Like gays the Latino-Hispanic voters have studied African-Americans and aren't willing to make the same mistakes (voting for the same party just because and not getting much in return), Gays got theirs and the LH want the same.

Watch any of the Hispanic television stations, there are tons of various commercials that promote voting.

It is rather ironic that the "angry white" vote is out to get illegals and anti-immigration, when by their actions they are doing everything possible to propel the WH and Congress into the hands of those that will realize their worst fears; an overhaul of immigration laws including some sort of amnesty.
So in other words the GOP has to thumb their noses at our immigration laws and reward illegals with amnesty in order to gain the Hispanic vote? Excuse me but aren't Hispanic-Americans just as obligated to respect our immigration laws as any other Americans are? Amnesty is not in the best interests of unemployed Americans nor any other Americans. Aren't the candidates supposed to be working for American interests not foreigners here illegally or special interest groups who don't put Americans first? Who is anti-"immigration", by the way? Our immigration laws don't need overhauling they just need to be enforced.

Did anyone see how many people were polled? I could not find the methodology behind the poll. Keep in mind that "likely" voters is always more accurate and that Hispanics actually vote much less than the other demographics.

Trump will do well among law abiding Hispanics and law abiding Americans in general. Hillary can have the rest since they more resemble her "demographics"!

The immaturity and insecurity of Trump supporters never ceases to amaze me.

Yes, that is why we are here posting nonsense 24/7, NOT! The stench of desperation in the air coming from the Hillarybots is over the top! As we know, Hillary has to hire supporters so keep your insults for the Democratic Party.

Did everyone note that once Johnson was factored in that Hillary dropped to 59%?

Fox News Latino poll: Clinton holds 46-point lead over Trump among Hispanics | Fox News Latino

Also, I did find that it was 800 and some people over the phone that were polled.

Remember illegals did not get the vote, thus watch for the dead people voting for the Democrats again. Kind of fitting when you look at their candidate!

What then exactly is your game plan? Continue nominating persons for the WH that don't have a snowball's chance in H*ll of winning? Lemme see now that was the M.O. in 2008, 2012 and now 2016, how is this working out for you?

Sadly my great Republican party is now destined to become merely a party of the opposition; mildly irritating but largely ineffectual to a POTUS and perhaps Congress (in whole or part) that can work around them if need arises.

You cannot run a business by alienating a large part of a potential market, nor can you win elections by ignoring changing demographics. Well at least not large national races like the WH, the often tightly gerrymandered House seats are another matter.

As for the laws being enforced there are two sides to that argument. Am all for this being done but to act as if Republicans/conservatives have not benefitted from illegal immigration is a joke. Southern farmers and other agriculture are still hurting in states that passed strict anti-illegal immigration laws. You'd think they would have learned after the mass exodus of African Americans during the great migration as those people got sick and tired of being sick and tired, picked up and left.

But hey, we more moderate Republicans have been trying to make you all listen to sense for some time now, and it is like talking to brick. Go on and enjoy four years of the Clintons that *YOU* helped put into power. That woman is going to ride y'all like you've never been ridden before.

I'd rather see the Republican party go up in flames than to thumb their noses at our immigration laws for votes as the Democrats are doing. At least they wouldn't go down in history as traitors to the American people. If changing demographics demand that and feel alienated by the rule of law then this country is doomed anyway and we are no longer a nation of laws. Sure there are some Republicans who hire illegal aliens just as there are Democrats who do but we are talking about a political party not individuals.

I agree completely. The main reason the Democrats have the edge for the Presidential election is that there is not limit to the damage they'll intentionally bring to the country in order to empower themselves.

That said, I think someone who presented a clear alternative to the Democrats' vision would win.

Oh, that's rich. Obama spent his 2 terms cleaning up Dubya's mess.
