Well I guess that I would rather have someone fighting for me rather than hiding when things get tough. But that's just me.

How 'bout you? Are you a Democrat who dislikes Obama? And why?

At the beginning, I liked Obama and Hillary Clinton equally; was more swayed to vote for Hillary though because I'm a woman and probably fit her "base" better. However, I've come to the point of downright not liking Obama for three reasons (1) vile and nasty fan base, (2) media treating him like a rock star instead of going after substance, (3) wife is playing the race card. I'm tired of the racist cr*p the most and if Obama is chosen as the democratic candidate, I will just skip this election. If it's wrong, it's wrong, but I will not cast my vote for Obama and I definitely won't be casting my vote for McCain because as far as I see it, he is an extension of what we currently have.

I guess I just don't understand points #1 & 3

On point # 1. What do some of the supporters he has to do with him as a candidate?

and on point #3 when has she pulled the race card?

Also if you choose to stay home and not cast your vote if Obama becomes the nominiee and McCain wins the election by not voting are you helping him get back into office?

Not attacking just asking...this viewpoint is just a little strange to me that's all.

I also don't want McCain to win as I feel it will be another 4 years of what we have but I am also supporting whichever Democrat wins the nomination

Would you give a drug addict more drugs. Why give people power over you. I would rather keep my money and spend it wisely.
Lower government services leads to greater perception of the necessity of savings, which leads to greater savings and lower consumption. That, in turn, leads to a stagnation or reduction of the GDP, as consumption is a major component of that.

If you want to get rid of government services, move to the Caymans and love it. Meanwhile, the rest of us are having a civilization in Europe and North America.

I don't have anything personal against O'Bama and his supporters. The sad fact of the matter is that the supportes like him because he says he spoke out against the war in the beginning (I bet you anything that if he were in Congress when the war started he would have voted for the war. Sure most people are against it now but in the beginning most were for it, why do you thing Bush was reelected?) Why don't you ask the troops if they want to leave without winning the war? 99% of them would tell you no, they do not want to leave feeling that the job is not done. This is the reason i won't vote for O'Bama. He is full of hot air just like every other preacher is. He says one thing but what he does, beleive me, will be another. It is very sad that people are taken in by all the sweet talk when is what we need is the straight up truth.

As President he becomes Commander in Chief of the largest and stongest military in the world. I just can't see Obama in that role.

In short Obama can talk the talk but he can't walk the walk!
As a soldier, I could see having Obama as my commander in chief, but I would have a hard time buying Hillary as CIC. Why? Because she lacks the good judgment necessary for determining when is or is not the right time to send soldiers into battle. She displayed that poor judgment in late 2002.

I dislike him because his fix for everything is more government. The government needs to take care us is his primary belief. What ever happened to "Ask not what your country could do for you, but what you could do for your country." We need less government, less taxes, more freedom.
Why do so many Democrats dislike Obama?

You're completely making things up.

99%? Hardly. I'm in the military and a veteran of the Iraq campaign myself, and you're completely out to lunch on that figure.

Also, "winning the war" is literally impossible, as we invaded without justification, and an unjustified invasion and occupation that results in draining our nation of blood and treasure is very much a loss.

I'm a Clinton supporter but I will vote for Obama against McCain in a second.
I'm really torn about Obama. There are some things that I absolutely admire about him and I think that if he is all that he is hyped up to be, then he will be a great president. I also think that there are many Obama supporters who read his books, had been on his sites and learned about his politics. I will not say that all Obama supporters are just blinded by his charisma.
However, something is throwing me off about the way his supporters spit venom against Clinton and so many of them are just blinded by the hype. I have a very negative gut feeling about him, because of how he is being worshipped and idolized. It makes me very uncomfortable, uneasy and nervous.

Actually the title of your thread is misleading. Majority of democrats adore Obama, not vice-versa.

Why does Ron Paul, an outspoken opponent of the war and supporter of immediate withdrawal receive the most donations from active military?
