Yes, he explains it quite concisely and eloquently but why should he have to? Just how dumbed-down has a swath of Americans become that the meaning of taking a knee has to be explained to them? That is the real shame of all of this.
I think someone thought it would be easy to fool you into spreading a false rumor. And that you proved them right. And I think you won't direct any anger at those who misled you, but at those putting your story straight.
I’m impressed with Beto. His response to this particular question was heartfelt and honest. He didn’t side step the question - he answered it off the bat. I doubt he can capture red Texas (but elated to be proven wrong), but this campaign is really only the beginning of a greater path for Beto. Texans should feel proud to have a civil servant like Beto representing them.
They can explain all they want, but so long as they keep doing it, I'm not tuning in.
And see--that is another way to protest in America--the home of democracy and free speech...
