I'd nominate Hilary again so she can be a 3 time loser.

You wanna win an election? Quit patting each other on the back for how smart and liberally evolved you think you are - you are democrats... you're a sure thing; you already know how all of you will vote. Instead, figure out how to reach those of us who are disgusted with politics, double standards, lying politicians and party gurus from BOTH sides.

Until you do that, the unaffiliated will continue to stay home or vote the lesser of two evils. Since I refuse to stay home, I accept the sad reality that come 2020, I will once again be voting the lesser of two evils. Right now there is no one from the left that is the lesser evil. Trump will get my vote.

39%. Even if that number is different by now, plus or minus a few...it's still a huge chunk, and y'all just keep turning up your noses at us.
Good post.

Just like in the midterms, my vote is a vote against anything associated with Trump. I can't think of anyone, from either party that I would not prefer over Trump. It would have to be a very low and worthless human being to be worse than he is. In that case, I would not vote at all for president.

Don't under-estimate the stupidity of the DNC... they'll enthrone Hillary again in a New York minute.

While I would not normally say that I'd vote for the Democrat candidate no matter what, I will say that I will in 2020. I don't care who it is; they'll be getting my vote.

I think it proves that voters DO care about a particular orange candidate that they do NOT want in office.

But it depends on who they present as a candidate.

Blind loyalty is why we have the swamp in DC.

It just is.
I agree we need to see whom the candidate is. However, I am so violently opposed to Donald Trump at this point that I would vote for almost any democrat nominee.

My greatest fear is the left wing of the democrat party. I believe Trump would defeat the likes of Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, and Elizabeth Warren and nominating those people would be just playing into his hands. Certain groups within the party have to understand that while we may from time to time nominate a woman or minority as our candidate that we aren't going to do it in every election. What I find depressing was that a number of minority voters who showed up faithfully to vote for Barack Obama disappeared in 2016 and its one reason Trump carried Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Than there were those who showed up to vote for Bernie in primary elections, but wouldn't show up in the general election to vote because they didn't get their favorite candidate. People need to understand its issues rather than personalities that should determine their vote.

I'm hoping for someone like Joe Biden or Sherrod Brown. Although, I do think Beto O'Roarke is also a possibility.

The problem that the democrat party has is that it is full of people who talk a big talk and than never even show up to vote in mid term elections. This year appears to have been an exception and I am encouraged. The only good thing I can think of when it comes to Trump is that he energizes the democrats. He will bring out a lot of voters who are determined to defeat him in 2020.
