But I guess that just makes him "elitist" in some people's eyes.

As for Palin? An undergraduate degree cobbled together through college-hopping over many years. No understanding of Constitutional Law, or even of American political history. Two years as mayor of an economically depressed small town--with less than 2x the population of my high school. Less than 2 years as Governor of Alaska, in which she has not once had to issue an executive military order.
8 years as an Illinois State Senator plus almost 4 years as a U.S. Senator.

I already posted on this thread when it was started, but I still don't know where the Obama haters get 143 days, even if they're only counting his nearly 4 years as a United States Senator.

"During his eight years in the Illinois state Senate, Obama worked with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. Obama also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama enlisted the support of law enforcement officials to draft legislation requiring the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases."

Keep in mind too that Obama's district has about the same population as the entire state of Alaska. Also, Illinois has about 12.8 million and Alaska has about 675,000. She was mayor when Wasilla had less than 5,500 people. We have gated communities here with more residents. The last census reported 8,400 people living in Wasilla.

I'm a fairly open-minded person, and will always listen to reason, but when people throw out ridiculous "facts" that make no sense whatsoever and are continually spreading smears that have been debunked, they eventually lose their credibility.

Maybe Obama is ahead because McCain has spent most of his years in the senate asleep at the wheel.

Sorry. Should have checked his service record to be sure.

That's it??

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced he is a puppet for Soros.
He is the puppet for the Democrats because he is the best speaker and the best debater and the best evangelical speaker and the best motivational speaker.

143 days into his term as Senator he said he might consider running for President some day. Thus anything to stretch becomes something stretched.

There is a lesson to be learned and it is.
Parents tell your children never to say when they grow up they want to become president. If they do so they run the risk that some right wing job will use that thought against them. Only they may decide who is allowed to dream and aspire and clearly they have not given Obama permission.

Besides Screwing up in the Navy and spending most the war in a POW camp, Screwing up in politics and nearly ending up in jail, Voting over 90% of the time with Bush and making wrong decisions about how to fight the war in Iraq and then having to vote for a surge after many many American lives were lost. Voting against more money for equipment for the troops, A failed immigration bill. Exactly what earth shattering decisions has McCain made in his over twenty years in the Senate that makes him ready to be President?
