"They're stalling and stalling until ...when....AFTER the elections!!!!" isn't discussion. That's accusing.

You have freedom of speech, but it comes with responsibilities that must be met for it to last indefinitely. I prefer to fulfill one of those responsibilities-- not making statements that I, obviously, can't know the truth of. You? Well, in addition to appearing to be anti-American in your socialist leanings, I guess you don't care about your other responsibilities... but that's the choice people died for... for you to crap on it... I guess.

Again, if the Clinton's did it you think it's OK...very odd "logic".
Not at all. But if the person who made the initial statement about Palin being weak and him creepy because of their relationships, they'd have to be making the same point about Clinton. I'm just curious if that person considers Hillary creepy and Bill weak... and laid out the similarities.

What do you care?

Who said the citizens KNEW it!!!
If they didn't check, then they didn't care. Not paying attention is their right too and acquiescing involvement is the same as saying all her actions are okay.

Is that complicated?

We ARE residents of the United States. Palins are running for the highest office of the U.S...it's everybody's business.
I don't feel like her running to be VP gives me a right to change Alaska's laws.

Paranoia ??? Ya, wanting to know the truth is seen by repubs as paranoia....another thing we agree on....
I really have no clue what you're talking about.

You obtained this info by the process of osmosis I guess? Via living is some ugly Alaska back water??
The state legislature didn't issue the subpeonas, nor are they investigating Governor Palin. What part of "Legislative Council" aren't you able to comprehend? You have absolutely no clue what you are talking about, that much is very obvious.

It's just a committee of the legislature.

That's the standard procedure. What do you expect the thousands of people issued subponeas each year to sit before 435 members of Congress??

All the members of the Alaska Legislature must go to every hearing where there is testimony???

I'd just stay out of it entirely.

Anyone who thinks issuing of subpeona can be '"illegal" is not up to a basic understanding of what roles and powers committees have.

And I don't have the time to teach you. Move to Wasilla. That's how this guy gained his Phd in Alaska civics......LOL

Here's the current statute for issuing subpoenas:

DOC Frame Page

The pertinent part:

Sec. 24.25.010. Issuance and form of subpoena.

(c) A subpoena requiring the attendance of a witness before an interim committee established by either house of the legislature, or by both, may be issued by the chairman of a committee when authorized to do so by a majority of the membership of the committee and with the concurrence of the president or the speaker.

Don't know if they got authorization as required. According to Glitch, they didn't, so they wouldn't be legal.

Punishment would be a $100-500 fine or imprisonment for 30 days to 6 months upon conviction.

The Alaska state legislature is the only body authorized to issue subponeas, not the Legislative Council who's sole purpose is to introduce legislation, not perform investigations.

That may be "the standard procedure" in your state, but not in Alaska. Naturally, since you don't have the first clue about Alaska law or the Alaska state constitution, I wouldn't expect you to know this. As usual, you are speaking out of sheer ignorance.

Could you point me to where Glitch of Wasilla said they didn't get the authorization??

That is correct, the state House must give their approval for all subpoenas issued. No authorization was ever granted. The Legislative Council acted entirely on their own, making all their subpoenas null and void.

In addition, the state House never set up a committee for this investigation, the Legislative Council already existed for the purpose of proposing legislation and has no investigative authority.

Oh really? Well you and AKCK have a difference of opinion. He or she actually posted a link of the Alaska statutes.

Can you help the brother out?

He was trying to cover for you by implying that you meant they didn't have the authorization needed but you've now blown that angle....LOL
