I'm also aware of people who chose to be to live like this....hard to believe but true. In Europe with the socialized system every one gets welfare, even homeless people so they don't have to live like that....there is even one famous homeless person who had rich parents, lived in the street and was bagging for money and raised so much that everyday he ended up going to a home so he was not what he was seen for on a daily base and TMZ, yes TMZ had images a while ago from a homeless guy who always is where the celebraties are and he collects hundreds of dollars....when he leaved to go, he took a cab and stated he was going home!!!!

So I'm not against homeless people voting unless they can proof who they are...but since dead people have been voting a I'm very reserved about this!

Church groups or interested citizens or even Democratic Party members aren't dragging anyone to the polls. If people were being "dragged" to the polls, other people would notice. In my state, and I don't think Arkansas is particularly progressive, it's illegal to buy votes, with money or food or any other consideration. I'm sure Ohio has similar laws.

Some people who are homeless are keenly interested in this election. Being concerned about your next meal or where you are going to sleep for the night can make you quite intent on electing the person who is going to be most responsive to your needs.

Not all homeless people are panhandlers. There are people living out of their cars, living in parks, living in shelters, who still get dressed and go to work each day, who take their children to school, who go to church on Sundays, but who've lost their homes. There are many faces to the homeless.

If a guy who gets 90 million suddenly finds himself homeless, odds are he still has a car and can drive himself to the polls.

Homeowners who lost homes through foreclosure could create problems at the polls in several states. My brothers are poll watchers for the dems, one in a precinct with a high foreclosure rate, so we'll see what happens on election day. This could be a problem for the dems. As mentioned in the article, Obama has filed a federal lawsuit to stop Michigan from using foreclosure lists to challenge voters. In Ohio plans to help people in foreclosure and families who are homeless to vote by using a five- to seven-day window starting Sept. 30 when state residents are permitted to register and cast an early ballot simultaneously. Republicans are trying to block these moves in both states.

So because they care more about their day to day survival they shouldn't vote? If someone provides a ride or some food does not mean they get to escort the homeless person into the voting booth. Your ignorance on how American elections work is astounding.

Sorry I couldn't follow this rant because your English is impossible to understand.

Sorry, I know you're a foreigner and therefore obviously not familiar with our constitutional principles, but here you are considered "innocent until proven guilty". You are not required to prove a negative. You do not need to prove you are NOT a felon simply because you are homeless and reside in one or more shelters. You should have the right to vote even if you reside on a park bench.

No one is saying they shouldn't vote, but the Dems are known for taking them to register and to vote in exhange for a meal or whatever. I thought it was illegal to "buy" votes.

I also heard the other day that illegal immigrants are somehow voting in Ohio.

Again, no one else is permitted to enter the voting booth so how can Democrats force the homeless person to vote a certain way? Or are you just concerned that homeless people down on their luck always tend to vote Democrat. That is not through coercion though, that is the person obviously voting with the party that doesn't leave homeless Americans high and dry when they are down on their luck.

Oh and you "HEARD" that illegal immigrants are voting in Ohio? Any source for that? I've "heard" that Republicans are trying their best to stop legal voters from exercising their right to vote.

I heard that they can vote....this campaign makes me think certain people in this country do anything to win and have their candidate win this election which makes it IMO a fraudelent election.

In other countries only people who have identification papers and an address can vote. This to prevent fraud. People get their voting cards send to their address (or you have to give notice that you are away and they will send it to another address if you have proof) to avoid fraud.

In Florida the laws have changed and convicted felons can vote but only the non violence one, so who can proof that the homeless who have no identification are who they are and aren't convicted felons convicted on murder, etc....

If the Dem. take them on a bus to get them to the voting precinct, what else are they giving them to get their vote? Food, money, etc, what does it cost for the Dem. to get that vote?

It figures that the McCain supporters are looking down upon homeless people just because they want to vote for Obama. If they are allowed to vote in some states and the Dems are taking them, big freakin deal. My grandmother use to get a ride every year because she was unable to get to the polls. I am sure the Republicans will put a stop to this anyway because they know they are slipping in the polls, especially the latest polls on the battleground states which shows Obama moving ahead in a big way. I can sense a lot of "WORRY" setting in with these McCain supporters which was the whole point of this post. This post is a disgrace against every living and breathing American which has the right to vote.
