All those rich people aren't rich anymore because they've been taxed so much. Then who does he tax?

You're incredibly naive if you actually believe that the rich will be sent to the poorhouse because of Obama's planned tax increases.

Again the thread starter doesn't understand.

Obama is talking about an incremental increase in the rates.

It will not tax rich people out of existence....that's absurd.

your question CAN'T be answered because your senario is not possible, nor even close to believable. Obama's "tax increases" would only restore tax rates to where they were during the Clinton administration, before the Bush tax cuts. No one will go broke, but Richard Q. Moneybags will go without an extra ivory backscratcher for the greater good.

your incredibly naive if you don't think he will.

my father has a small business. employs 8 people. the state of michigan has already raised taxes so much this year that he is barely holding on. michigan had a deficit of 1.5 billion they have to come up with the difference some how, they raised many taxes 4 of which effected him directly. add to that the payroll accounts problems with available credit, the banks are faced with. which he normally draws on similar to a equity line of credit. then you pay it back. since his business is seasonal. they cut his available balance, even with no late payments and perfect credit.

which means if obama gets into office he will have to lay 1 person off just to cover his income taxes. he does not want to do this.

he has a lot of clients who are struggling in michigans economy as it is now. if obama raises those taxes he plans on raising many many business' will go under.

Here you go.

Obama and McCain Tax Proposals - washingtonpost.com

An 8.7% increase in tax rates for those making $600K to $2.9 Million

And an 11.5 % increase for those making over $2.9 Million

( I feel soooo sorrry for them....boo hoo hooo hooo...wah!!)

McCain's plan actually gives the multi millionaires the biggest percentage tax cuts!!!! God do you think most Americans are stupid???

how much income does he make? does his firing of that employee take Obama's elimination of the capital gains tax and $500 per employee tax credit into account?
