I remember the Clinton years when he had congress behind him.You see this isn't just about Obama,it is about what his fellow Democrats will push to him.

If there are at least 41 repubs in the senate we can hopefully prevent the dumbest ideas (AWB, obama's personal SS, etc.) with a filibuster.

All this thread proves is that people can, ultimately, be conned into thinking anyone can be anybody with the right amount of money. People will put their money into a cause no matter what is thrown at them because surely they're not the stupid ones, right?

It proves that people will believe anything, if it is told to them the right way. The responses here cement that.

It's sad.

The Republicans had a war on the poor, oppressed and the middle class for 8 years. Wasting money on a war that was fought so stupid. Wasting money on arresting people for smoking pot so some cop can make overtime and make free money off the system while tobacco use was totally legal. Allowing Wall Street and mortgage brokers to do whatever they want. So now it shall be a war on the conservative rich and their hypocritical and phony morality that they have shoved down the throats of everyone for 8 years. The only people who are Republicans are rich people and rascist middle class and poor people whose hatred for minorities outweighs their hatred for the rich conservatives who rape them economically daily. The rich even got screwed by Bush and Chaney lol!! I got to give it to those guys they screwed everyone and got paid but now it is the poor peoples turn!!

The country has spoken tonight...

It is not just a complete repudiation of George Bush and the Republicans who backed him up to the hilt for 8 long years...

It is a solid victory for an inspirational candidate (Obama) who promises the real change this country desperately needs, who can raise the least of us up to be productive members of society, to make us a united and strong country, to restore out standing in the world, and to take the battle to the terrorists - and to get the H__L out of Iraq....

Congratulations Obama!!! You are the most inspirational President since Kennedy - and I venture you outdo even him by a considerable margin.

You Obama haters - just listen to Limbaugh and Hannity and leave the rest of us alone to put this nation back on a good course...
You should go back to the planet Mars... nobody wants people that tells other people they don't want hear what they have to say... even if I don't like it, I won't tell them not to say anything... hypocrite...
