ANYONE elected President following Bush will show rapid signs of aging.
What????? Talk about selective memory

Did you see the interviews with some of the Palin supports at her rallies? About the only issues they understood were "Anti-Abortion" and "She's like us".

Let's face it, there were many people on BOTH sides who made their decisions based solely on a cult of personality appeal.

But of course it was okay for these sore losers to attack Bush in 2000 endkessly?

The fact of the matter is, some people are deifying Obama before he has even taken office. He may do alright, he may not. The only true way to find out is to wait and give him a chance, unlike what the liberals did for Bush.

As it turns out, the liberals were right about Bush.

Let us all hope that Mr. Obama's detractors are as wrong about Obama as they were about Bush.

Ah, another opinion passed off as an a fact beyond refute. The liberals attacked Bush because they were sore losers and because he did not bend to their way of thinking.

I, too, hope that Obama succeeds but will wait to judge until he has done something. More people should try that, IMO.

He has charisma! If he doesn't make it in Washington he can always sell Ginsu knives on the shopping network or become a TV evangelist.

I remember the beginning of the Bush administration a little differently.

Despite your bluster that "liberals didn't give Bush a chance," the truth is Bush was given the benefit of the doubt up until winter of 2003 (when he began pretending there were "weapons of mass destruction" that justified an attack on Iraq). That was almost two years of giving him a chance before the tide really began to turn against him and people had decided they had had enough.

Invading Iraq was the last straw, a turning point for those who didn't vote for him but still believed in giving the POTUS a chance. The fact is: Bush was given many chances. And second chances, third chances, and a dozen more chances after that. He squandered them all.

In the aftermath of 9/11 Dubya had the sympathy of the world and the good will and attention of the American people who gave him the highest approval ratings he ever received. At that point he had the opportunity to become one of the greatest statesmen in the history of the planet. and could conceivably have been another Churchill.

What he did was to fabricate a pretext for invading an oil-rich country and all but completely forgot the reasons for the approbation that had been handed him after the WTC. He "didn't think about Bin Laden" a lot after the invasion, preferring to figure out how to make a profit from the war.

Halliburton was awarded no-bid contracts, Bush 41 sat on the board of the Carlyle Group (along with members of the Bin Laden family), one of the world's largest manufacturers of munitions, and W had $12 Billion cash (360 tons of untraceable bills strapped to pallets) sent to Paul Bremer which was never seen or heard from again nor accounted for.

Two years ago he purchased 100,000 acres of land in Paraguay in Jenna's name, Paraguay being a country which conveniently has no extradition treaty with the United States. $12 Billion will go a long way towards keeping Blackwater mercenaries in beer and skittles employed as his personal security force after their tenure in Iraq ends during the Obama administration.

If these things can be construed as "not bend[ing] to their way of thinking", I guess you're right. Liberals are guilty of attacking Bush for no reason whatever.

Or more likely, as liberals will never admit, anything that Bush proposed would be attacked because he "stole" the election and did not try to have "dialog" with everyone, including those with the stated purpose of destroying us. When Bush agreed with the liberals on anything he was called weak. When he disagreed, they tried to rally an impeachment of him and accused him of high crimes and treason. Rather a no win situation, wouldn't you say?

Let's see how Obama fares when he crosses the liberal elite and follows his own agenda instead of theirs.
