Education and intelligence are not the same thing.

Intelligence and education are not as closely related as ignorance and stupidity. Bush was not a good enough actor, unlike Ronnie Raygun, to hide the fact that Bush was and is both stupid and ignorant. It showed and his base loved it and did not have the means to understand and analyze his basic errors. They just said,"He's one of us and we are Saved."

And even an educated, intelligent person can be ignorant if s/he chooses to close her/his mind and blindly follows without thinking and questioning.

GWB delivered a no-bull additude when he spoke. You knew he wasn't going to kiss enemy butt. That made many Americans feel safe.

The problem with acting like a bully is that sooner or later somebody kicks your but into another reality.

Why would you show respect to someone who should represent the people but doesn't?

You mean it made the sheeple feel safe. Scare the sheeple into believing we need protection.

As long as the US has the military illegally in the Middle East we are not safer. The terrorists do not attack us because they hate our freedom they attack us because we occupy their Holy land. The CIA report said as much when they investigasted the reasons behind the 9/11 terrorists.

1. A U.S. military presence in the Islamic holy land in Saudi Arabia,
2. Bombing of Muslim countries.
3. The imposition of economic sanctions that have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people

By continuing our bullying policies in the Middle East Dubya didn't prevent the attack, he caused it.
