No. It wasn't fear. And not all Republicans thought he was an effective speaker. But the man had nothing but love for this country. And for that, God bless.
The man had nothing but love for his country.
Kind of like the guy who beats his wife and then tells her "I really love you", and you being the battered wife, say, "I know you do honey, and I love you too"
Only if the kid didn't earn the grades they received - which sure seems to be the case with GW (considering the ignorance and stupidity he's exhibited).

Many universities, including Yale, have legacy scholars. Those are folks whose parents give a great deal of money to the university, and their kids are given priority in admission regardless of whether or not they meet the full criteria for admission required for the average student who is not a legacy student. Haven't I read that was the case with GW? I can't find proof, but it seems that I remember that.
If you took away fear, none of them would have listened. But when they were warned that Saddam had nuclear weapons, that Al Qaeda was hiding behind every bush, that we had to torture people to remain safe, the herd listened and obeyed
George W. Bush's followers were too dumb to realize he was an idiot.
oh, so it had nothing to do with the media telling you so everyday for eight years...
yet you are too blind to realize that the same main street media won't show any of BO's gaffs, though there are many...my favorite was him not knowing how to say something in austrian. hhhmm, i would think a harvard educated person knows what language they speak in austria. just imagine if President Bush had not know it was German, the elitists snobs would have had a field day for weeks, years even.
President Bush came across as sincere, this guy doesn't. He is an empty shell and shows such a lack of respect for the office of the president. just this week he laughed at 911 jokes. that's really classy isn't it??? oh wait, i'm sure many here would do the same...

The "gaffe's" you refer to are usually right wing inventions, spewed on FOX News as a mistake when, in reality, it's no gaffe. The entire teleprompter hysteria was another rightwing invention.
George W. Bush didnt need propagandists manufacturing controversy, he did it all by himself. On that I can agree that he was sincere.
his magnetic personality and engaging manner as well as his fidelity to GOP party platform such as austerity.
