I didn't see any half-timbered houses there. And its bridges are relatively flat.
Could it be Nuremberg? I mean, there are bridges throughout Nuremberg but from what I recall they are not huge bridges. Lots of half timbered houses there though.
I recommend the Eastern and Northern part of Bavaria - Nuremberg, Amberg, Coburg, Regensburg - very underrated and Czech Republic is also very close for a trip.
