Tokyo is a lot like Germany though. Quiet, cold, stand-offish people.



If you were looking for some place more lively, you should have went more Mediterranean, or Caribbean, if you are really social.
Germany cities are actually fairly cool.

Berlin is usually ranked as one of the most vibrant cities in Europe, whilst cities such as Hamburg are not far behind.

My son was over there in the army and said it would put us to shame as the streets are so clean compared to ours..

I recommend the Eastern and Northern part of Bavaria - Nuremberg, Amberg, Coburg, Regensburg - very underrated and Czech Republic is also very close for a trip.
