When I heard Israeli jets struck Syria again (after Russia supposedly told them no more) I was wondering what excuse Putin's team would come up with this time for not shooting them down.

Don't know about "Putin's excuse," but from what I remember, Israel's attack came right after Iranian Boeing landed in Damask with the military cargo for Hezbollah.
Well, the excuses are easy. Russia is only responsible as they stated for the air defense around their assets, not for the entire country of Syria. Syria's AA systems are garbage, and the new S-300 systems they got, there is no way in hell they have been trained on them that fast, doubt they are even fully operational, meaning 100% capable, due to this lack of training.
Also, Israel is using standoff missiles, which have an increased operational range, to ensure they are at or near the peak effective range of Syria's AA systems.
That does not even touch upon if Israel was using the F-35, which makes its radar signature even more difficult to track.
He is Mr. Vibrating from the Python Argument Clinic sketch. He just says the opposite of whatever was in the previous post without regard for facts or whether it makes sense. Not one word in the linked article about Putin, and not one word in the response regarding an identical tactic which was earlier used. It is the same as a bot which just reads the one line and makes up a response.
I was not in the Bronx at night, but, for example, in Pushkino I can walk along any street during any time of the day. And in 99% of cases I will not be interesting to someone.
You're lucky!
