Yes, Italian men are very short. Scandinavians are mcuh bigger, including the ones form the Baltic States.

Being French in Italy I feel the French are very slightly taller on average. The average Frenchman now is 177cm tall.



Not that there are striking differences overall, but skinny 168-170cm tall men are a lot more common in Italy than in France.


Of course everyone is growing up now, Italian kids are much taller than their grandparents were at their age.

I find it interesting how in some countries people are getting much taller. But in others the average height hasn't changed much since the 50's
