Nope. Australia and Canada have higher use in the OECD countries. Finland is on the same level as UK and Belgium, lower than Sweden and Denmark.
How about Latvia, Belarus, Japan , Hungary and Lithuania? I see they have high if not the highest rates. Maybe higher than Finland. Causes given in general... Fall of the S.U, unemployment and that quite common alcohol reason.
Not sure what say North Korea 's is. I'd say anyway it would be tough getting stats out of that place.

The suicide rate is unusually high in Finland. Why? Is it because of economics? Weather? Society? What makes the suicide rate higher than other developed countries and other Nordic countries?
You'd be surprised. France actually has the highest suicide rate in Western Europe. Sweden and Finland aren't that high. I don't know why they have a reputation for that, and how France manages to fool everyone.
