@DPolo: Again, Russia is at least 40 years behind the West in many social attitudes, so that violently attacking gay demonstrators holding signs (and sending some of them to the ER) is normal there. But even something as trite as smoking regulations is handled differently in Russia: Although there are "official" anti-smoking prohibitions in Russia since 2014, these are rarely if ever enforced in most public places, offices, restaurants, markets, etc., because 70% of Russian males over 16 smoke. So the majority prevails, and the minority endures, always. Russians have a different mentality, and it is reflected in many spheres of life. The Russian Duma (parliament) now threatens gay group members with harsh fines or imprisonment if they publish any brochure that can ever end up in the hands of someone under age 18. That's very much like the US, UK, and Germany back in the 1950s. I rest my case.
It kinda looks like gays in Russia had an easier time before you came alone with your gay rights protests, does it not ?
That's not what they tell me, not at all. It's always been very hard for them in Russia, and now it is also hard in the 21st century. Moscow is not New York, London, or Paris -- and it's not even Oklahoma City or Waco either, which is my point.

You are talking to a wall here Ruskies are so in to their own propaganda and they can't comprehend with the freedom we have.
PS. Obama is married and never hated gays. Unlike single Putler If a man cares so much what other men do with their dicks, I have news for you :P

No, I have not, but people I've met have been. They say there are places to meet, dance, sing, drink, but that the overall level of paranoia for gays is palpably high in Russia, Belarus, Bulgaria, and some other eastern Slavic lands. It's not good in Moscow, and even worse in the larger provincial Russian cities (Volgograd, Vladivostok). Definitely a different planet from the West for gay men (and "West" includes Oklahoma and Alabama).
