The UK has good transport links with France, including the Eurostar Channel Tunnel rail link.

In terms of France, it's an attractive country with some interesting historical cities and some beautiful countryside and coastline.

I may not like Macron, however lots of French people are also unhappy with their politicians, and there have been plenty of French protests in recent years.

Although lots of countries have unpopular politicians, so this doesn't just apply to France.
