Usually Casting Crowns on my iPod for cardio. However, I just heard Shane Dwight this afternoon, and have already downloaded a couple of albums so I'm ready for tomorrow! I don't listen to music when lifting weights...just my trainer....as he tries to torture me and my arguing/whining.
I'm in my fifties so it's classic rock to keep me moving, with occasionally Christian Contemporary music, like Casting Crown, but mostly my old, hard rock with a tad of top-forty in there, I think it's called.
Biking to metal..hahhaa. Always makes you go fast!
I like this one (or pace) for strength training as its slow enough to keep form but fast enough it gives you a bit of challenge on the reps. (various style sit ups, planks, leg work (lifts, donkey, squat)
Weights: Metal like Disturbed, older Metallica, Guns & Roses, RATM, Pantera. AC/DC. Cranks my adrenaline way up. I also liked this music when I did kickboxing ... I seriously love slugging a heavy bag to really loud, angry music.
Elliptical: Depends on my routine. Sometimes it's dubstep because the songs are long and I can lose myself in it and keep the beat. Other times I like disco or new wave, older stuff that's peppy. "Heart of Glass" is the perfect running speed for me. I have a folder of music on my iPod and cycle through what I need at the time.
Stretching: Slightly Stoopid, Bob Marley, mellower stuff.
