Ugh, just got on the scales and I have gained ten pounds since the pandemic started. I figured that. I am back on the bandwagon though as of today and I WILL lose this and more!
I gained 20+ pounds starting in 2016. Reason: had to quit pickle ball exercise due to political talk and cheating players. I don't like going to gym, tried it to get weight loss but Covid made that no-go.
Have lost 10+ pounds 2021-2022 so far. My method, as a lifelong non-dieter because I've never been overweight and love food: talk a walk a day about 1/2 mile and once a week take a hike of about a mile. I live in NC and the hilly terrain gives us a cardio workout even in the neighborhood.
Also:
drink only 1 bottle of wine per week
keep desserts home-made because it cuts down quantity when I have to make them myself
do NOT wear yoga tights it makes me think I'm thinner than I am. By wearing jeans I can tell I'm fat/thin.
I HATE diets, love carbs and fats, so it takes me longer to lose weight but the weight does not come back.
My weight doesn't fluctuate much because I don't eat anything similar to what most Americans consume (no wheat, soy, high fructose corn syrup, next to no fast foods, fried foods, etc.) I am down 30 pounds since my peak weight in 2007- which was 180 pounds.

Gained some fat weight in 2020, but lost quite a bit of muscle weight.
Gained a good chunk of the muscle weight back in 2021.
325 to 200. This was intended through diet and exercise. The pandemic made it simpler w/limited social activity.
