So I recently wore a new pair of ballet flats that I got as gifts for my HS graduation. I wore them for a day and I ended up having very painful blisters on the area above my heels!
Another problem I have is with wearing peep-toe heels. Thy always give me corns on my pinky toes and on the sides of my feet where the big toes are.
Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent that from happening again?
Socks. I see people not wearing hosiery of some sort all the time and I don't get it. The only things that are comfy to me with no socks are my slippers.
They make a product for that. I forget what its called but its in the foot care area of the store with all the treatments usually. Its like a liquid bandage. But I agree to find better shoes that fit. Go with natural materials like leather and canvas. Avoid plastic shoes.
If the shoe is leather, you can try rubbing alcohol on the tight spots. Test a small area first to make sure the dye won't run. Put the alcohol inside where it hurts and then wear the shoes for 15-20 minutes at least.

"How to prevent blisters on your feet from certain shoes??"
Buy shoes that fit you properly.
This.
I've never worn shoes that cause blisters, bumps or cause pain. I'm a lot older than you, OP, and I've got great looking feet because I take care of them.

- Stretch them out before you wear them. You can do this by: (1) Taking the shoes to a shoe repair place, (2) use a shoe stretch solution or (3) buy a shoe stretcher.
- Don't be frugal with shoes. In the long run, you're feet will thank you and you will avoid bunions, etc.............
- Make sure your shoe size hasn't changed ( try on 1/2 size bigger or have them sized) AND check your width of your foot as well.
