Some things just look better on slender women...bikinis, leggings, miniskirts, and skinny jeans.
Plus-size women look better in classic or boot-cut jeans-skinny jeans make them look top-heavy.
(I wouldn't consider the models in the Baby Phat ads to be "plus-sized" anyway-to me, a
Depends on your proportions. I'm a size 6/8 and skinny jeans look terrible because my hips are wide compared to the rest of me. But, I've seen some girls size 14+ that look cute in them, even though they're bigger, because they are built straighter.
Although, I think the first pair with the rouched legs are heinous.
The first ones are not skinny jeans....just straight leg. Skinny jeans are fitted from the thigh to the ankle.
The baby fat ones are okay....but honestly, they shorten that girl's legs. Few plus size women are proportioned like that model too...she's lucky to have a such a small waist.
The model in the second Macy's one does not look very plus sized to me. And the first Baby phat one does not look flattering at all. Otherwise, I agree the are good examples of skinny jeans on plus size women.
They look very uncomfortable. Kind of reminds me when we use to have to lay on the floor in the early 80's just to be able to zip up our jeans. Or get them wet to make them skin tight. Oh yeah what were we thinking? Now I want to look good and be comfortable when I bend and sit.
FYI - plus sized models are usually a size 12!! This is the AVERAGE size for women in the U.S. Not everyone is a size 4. Many women who wear a size 12 are well proportioned, fit with a normal BMI and look good in almost anything.
