Just wondering. If so, what kind and color is it? As I get older, I’ve found that when something works for me, I stop experimenting.

So I always buy L’Oréal Classic Wine lipstick. On me, it’s a perfect medium dark lipstick, and I like the creaminess of it. It shows up, but doesn’t look like dark lips coming at you.

I don't wear much in the way of makeup at all but about ten years ago, I picked up a subtle shimmery lip gloss in a color called Foxy by Zoya, and I have used it ever since. My daughter loves it, too, so we usually buy a box of six tubes once a year or so and share them.

Nope. I have many different shades of many different brands and formulations.

(I'm 43 ... since age seemed to be an element of the OP's ponderings)

I usually request the annual Estée Lauder or L'Oréal gift box for Christmas. Has more than enough lipsticks and gloss to easily last the year. It's a fun way to try new colors, and I've found shades that were flattering without spending a bunch for a single tube of lipstick. The Estée Lauder Barely Nude Creme was a good find.

It seems that once I find something I really like they discontinue it. Currently I'm wearing Dior Poisonous or Bobby Brown Soft Berry. During the summer months I like Clinique Rosette.

Lipsticks are my weakness. I won't even admit here how many colors I have.

I only buy the 24-hour wear type, such as Revlon Color Stay. I hate seeing lipstick prints on my drinking glass, and I hate reapplying throughout the day. These long lasting ones literally do not come off even when I brush my teeth. I won't wear anything else.

I just tried the NYX lip balm -- I'm looking for a Burt's Bees replacement, since I'm allergic to soy. It's okay, and it's a great lip balm... but Burt's has real color. Miss that stuff.

I buy a lot of lipsticks and lip glosses, but the 2 that I keep going back to and feel the most comfortable in are:
Buxom Full-On Lip Cream in White Russian
Tom Ford Ultra-Rich Lip Color in Revolve Around me

They're pink nudes and seem to work best for me for every day wear.

I like lavender. One by MAC is good.
