It used to be very good, especially the goat soap, but I don't think the products are quite as effective with the new owners of the farm. I usually just go there in-person to buy.
Another local farm where I have purchased skin care products https://www.lilivestockco.com/skincare/
My favorite is the Shepherdess salve. During the pandemic, they donated quite a few skin care products to the essential workers at local hospitals.
A nice hand/body lotion may be as hard as finding that perfect LBD (little black dress) or pair of jeans & there are so many on the market. Does anyone use a lotion they REALLY love that has these qualities?
- not too light where it's useless & doesn't moisturize, but not thick & heavy whatsoever either
- still works through a few handwashings
- doesn't feel sticky or greasy
- unscented or possibly a light scent
- ideally not expensive, but if it's pretty perfect, I'll see about $15-20 a bottle
Jergen's Cherry Almond is the g.o.a.t of lotions. One of few brands that will adequately moisturize your hands/skin in seconds while not giving greasy or sticky residue.
Wow, thank you very much again everyone! So many suggestions!

Well, so far that Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion fits everything on my list, but it's nice to know about a few others, so if the store I go to doesn't have one thing, I know what else I can buy.

Ah, Avon! My grandmother sold Avon for a lot of years. I used to help her fill her orders sometimes back when I was a child when I'd visit her. Then, my mom sold it too for a while. I remember all those lotions. Care Deeply was the name of one of them.

I think it still is a good thing to MOST people, but of course, not everyone.

I see, I'll check those sites out, thanks!

Yes, I always did like that cherry scent! Very nice.

Look for lotions with mineral oil, glycerin, petrolatum, or dimethicone. These are emollients which should last a few washings. I think the Cerave healing ointment is one of the most well known of these as is the Neutrogena I mentioned up thread. I find the Neutrogena to be less greasy than the Cerave. I am now trying just plain Vaseline in pottery, but have only tried it once so far and am unsure how long it lasts.
OP, the thing I find that has helped me the most was putting the lotion on heavy at night and sleeping with gloves. It’s been a little over a week since I started doing this and my hands still look dry, but the little bumps are mostly gone and my hands otherwise look normal. Last week they looked like I had stuck them in a pile of fireants and the itching was just unbearable.

I purchased heated hand mitts. They’re like heating pads that you put your hands into. Mine were Conair and not very expensive. I did janitorial for 21 years, and I mainly purchased mine because I was having pain in my hands and the warmth really helped. But what I discovered was if I slathered on lotion, and wore gloves that stuff baked into my hands. They looked and felt good.
I bought those plastic throwaway paraffin gloves. I use them multiple times before I throw them out.
Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Hand Cream .. it is greasy and stays that way on my overly dry hands .. but it has gotten hard to find in the last 15 years .. I use Okeefe`s Working hands on a few spots around my nose and eyebrows which dry out a lot ..
Okeefe's is the best for me. I use their Healthy Feet cream too. The best way to apply it is after bath, washing hands and overnight. It lasts for a long time.
I also like to use paraffin bath for hands and apply it after..
I love, love, LOVE Cetaphil Advanced Relief Lotion with Shea Butter for continuously dry, sensitive skin. I use it every time after I shower (for a body moisturizer). And it does last 48 hours (I often shower every other day, especially in the winter since I hike less and don't get all sweaty).
For my face I use DML moisturizing lotion for daily care of dry skin. I don't see this one in the stores, I get it at my dermatologist (but it's not a prescription).
Hand lotion, I use whatever. I found a set in Marshalls that had some neat sounding scents (like almond) but I'm not particular about hand lotions. I'll get the travel size of whatever I can find when I start to run out so I have it on hand at work, and in my purse since my hands always get dry.
I love the Everyone line of products. I use the scented ones like lemon coconut or lavender. My skin has never been better. I no longer buy expensive face lotion because this works as well, if not better.

I don't know if you're aware, but Avon has a website in addition to sales reps. I just checked and they do sell that cream online.
