It seems that the fashion and beauty issues are female oriented so I might just pose this to the professionals , I've have heard of "Business Casual" but not sure how "business" or how "Casual" you can go with out looking out of place in a suit. My question is if you/or your man wears a suit and tie to work or for pleasure, what is casual? I always thought it was how TV news men dressed.

Around here, business causal is no jacket, like acrylic said.
Thanks its beginning to make sense to me, I always thought anything but Charcol grey ,black ,blue or pinstipe with a white shirt was considered casual, I am a thrift store Junkie so I have new suits that I pay next to nothing for that I wear anytime. Armani, Sak's, you name it I got it.!
Suits are not comfortable, nor are ties. I have one suit, my "Marry/Bury" for weddings, funerals... and job interviews. I can't think of any other reason why I'd wear one, so I don't invest in them. Seems like something only a very few professions still wear. I'm just glad I wasn't alive in the '50s when men had to wear suits to every job, to take a train, or take out the trash! Women looked very uncomfortable back then too.
Business casual really depends on the prevailing dress code in your locale and furthermore your profession. Here in LA, it's not uncommon to see Ivy League attorneys from national law firms dressed down in casual button-down collar shirts & slacks. Meanwhile IT/engineers & Hollywood types consider a polo shirt & khaki's or even dark jeans as appropriate business attire. If your husband's field typically requires a suit with tie, go with the button-down collar, dress trousers & a pair of loafers.
I am an everyday suit and tie wearer at work. Pretty much mandatory for my type of business (Investments/trading/securities/stocks, etc) so its suit and tie all day everyday. Casual is basically when the day is nearing and end and we take off our ties. Thats about as casual as it gets. Some corporations have "business casual" which could be slacks or suit pants with shirt and no tie or Polo/Lacoste type shirt
Funny how man invented suits for men, yet they are not comfortable. I have yet to ever in my whole entire life ever heard a man say, oh gooie, i cant wait to put on my suit.
To think all this stuff is stuff we make up, like suits......I dont understand why Man wouldnt want man to be comfortable....
we have the dumbest things here on planet Earth.
everything is so pretentious.
