Hi everyone

My husban and I are finally moving to Florida but we realy dont know where to. We had look at Boca, Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale etc. Also we looked at Sarasota, Bradenton and we love that area and think that we can get a better, bigger and newer house for the money, but now we stared looking on the internet and finded new areas with good prices also, like Tampa, Palm Harbor, Clearwater, Cape Coral, Naples and Fort Myers, so now we a bit counfused.
We are an early fourties couple, love all the occean activities plus scuba diving so been close to the beach will be a plus, but also my hasbund travels a lot for his job so we need an airport close by or with an easy drive. No kids yet but looking for it.
We like the night life, restaurant, movies so will would like to find a nice town witn a happening down town with people close to our age.
I know Mitch would prefert a gated community just because am home alone most all the time, and for me, just a house with a pool and hot weather is enough lol...... Oh ...maybe some good Colombian restaurants too !!

Thanks in advance for all your help !!!
P.d.sorry for my bad spelling

Of your list I would recommend the Palm Harbor/East Lake area, also check out the neighboring town of Safety Harbor which most fits your demographic. It offers everything you're looking for including excellent public schools. You're also within the Tampa/St Petersburg/Clearwater metro area which affords a ton of things to do. Home prices are excellent as well, nice 3 bedroom pool homes in gated communities sell on average in the 275K-300K price range. Safety Harbor doesn't really have much in the way of gated communities however, though Palm Harbor and East Lake do.

I second this suggestion. As I was reading her list of wants, I kept picturing North Pinellas as the place that fits it all.
