My ancestors killed mastodons here when central Florida was still covered with glaciers.

All I know is when my family visited Disney in late June some years back, our friends warned us to get their at the opening, leave at about 1:00PM and go back to your hotel and relax, and then come back at around 5:00PM. Boy were they right. The heat and humidity were more than most people could take. We would have wilted if we had tried to stay all day.

Unfortunately, the pool at the hotel was so warm, it might have been just a few degrees cooler than the hot tub.

I'm not saying Florida is a bad place. But don't move there because of the "great" weather.

All I can say is that unlike Georgia and Texas,I can usually be sure we won't have several inches of snow this time of year. Dallas and Atlanta can get as bad as cities in fl in the summer though

Maybe North texas but GA only gets snow like it did this year maybe once very 15 years or so...

If FL is some habitat mecca, then why during April-October noone is outdoors after 10am?

Look how the Northerners scoff at Floridians, but if you did that "up nawth" they would get all butthurt, its no wonder natives are looking to leave.

If all the native Floridians move we can rename the whole state. Maybe "Transplandia"

Okay, if you say so. You're a Yankee so everything you say is automatically correct.
